instructions
  1. Box Card - 1 Copy the box template from our pattern pages and use it to make a flat box using bright pink card. The middle line needs to be scored on the reverse to allow the flaps to fold down the right way. Cut out three rectangles, 7cm x 9cm, from blue floral paper and edge one short side on each using a doily lace punch, then add them to the flaps.

2 Create three decorative pink rectangles, 6cm x 8cm, and matt them to the sides of the box. Next, punch a doily lace edge along a piece of blue floral paper and use it to cover the tall panel of the card. Cut two bunting poles from mountboard, 21cm long and 5mm wide. Make a small hole in the top of each rod using a needle, then glue them inside the edges of the tall panel.

3 Make three triangles and string them together with thread, then attach the length to the poles. Fold the box and use strong glue on the tab to stick it together. Once dry, glue two tabs in the centre of the container. Slowly fold the box down as they dry to allow the tabs find their correct positions.

4 Create three cupcakes from white card. Lightly colour each with a brown watercolour pencil, then apply a wash to it using a paintbrush and water. Once dry, shade with brown and use grey to add shadow around the frosting. Make cupcake cases and fix them to the motifs, then decorate with ribbons, sentiments, hearts and pearls. Cut out the parts for a teapot and piece it together, then create a teacup. Print off a ‘With Love’ sentiment, then punch a scalloped heart from a pink spotty circle, 4cm diameter. Stick the message behind the opening and adhere it to the teapot.

5 Cut out paper flowers. On the reverse of each, emboss a small circle and cut between each petal, stopping at the line. Add pearls to the centres. Attach pink ribbon to the side flaps and mount a ‘With Love’ circle to each one in the
centres. Add flowers. Print a ‘Mother’s Day’ sentiment, then cut out and stick to a pink scalloped circle. Mount to the front using foam pads and secure a pink ribbon bow next to it. Fix the cupcakes and flowers to the tabs, then the teapot and cup to the tall panel. Glue flowers to strips of acetate to create depth.

  2. Teapot Tag - 1 Use the templates to cut and piece together a teapot from spotty pink and floral papers. Cut out a scalloped heart from spotty mint, then punch around the aperture to make a circle. Stick a ‘With Love’ sentiment behind the opening.

2 Create a flower from floral paper, add a pearl to its centre, then secure pink ribbon around the handle to finish.
